The Blue Zone Women's Holistic Nature Retreat is held on private property in the hills of the sacred lands of the Chorotegas. Tamara's partner's family has graciously allowed us to hold space on this land. We are tucked away on the hills deep in the jungle between Nicoya, Nosara, and Samara Beach between two ever flowing rivers.

This Full Moon on 11/11/22 is a sacred time to come together and let the wild woman out. It is a no judgment zone full of magic, meditation, sacred cacao, love and nurturing through nature.

Tickets are $888

All you have to do is fly to the SJO airport with a yoga mat, a tent, and your favorite mug and journal. If you do not want to carry a mat and tent with you, you can buy one here at the local store in Nicoya before being dropped off in the small village where you will pop your tent.

If you do fly into Liberia, please let us know as we will have to make other arrangements and that may be an additional charge. It is closer, but typically much more expensive. But we will figure it out.

This is the beginning of the dry season, so rain is not an issue. However, we do have shelter if necessary. Tamara owns a house 1/2 km away and the house by the land where she used to live where we have shower and bathroom access can be used. It is strongly suggested that you get travelers insurance but not required. You can also purchase a Covid test at the airport before you leave.

The fire will be lit on the night of the 10th and will be tended 24/7 and extinguished on the 14th after morning meditation where you will be able to take some ashes home in a box that we will create in on of our Earth Art and Altar ceremonies with whatever other sacred items you find on our Nature journey through the jungle.

Your ticket includes:

• Transportation to and from the airport in San Jose ( We will need your itinerary two weeks before the retreat to plan the transportation in a way that allows multiple people to share a shuttle.)
• 3 home made meals a day made by a local ( Tamara's Cousin) with love and fresh coffee all day. Meals will be optional vegetarian or with meat (chicken or pork depending what is fresh). It is hard to accommodate strict vegan diets in this environment as we are eating very typical meals that are fresh and custom to the area. (That is breakfast 8 am, lunch 12 pm and dinner 430 pm. There is a small store 1km south that we can grab snacks or whatever if you like. it is open every day.)
• Nightly Women's circles with connection, conversation, meditation, song, and ecstatic dance.

Friday 11/11/22 Events:

On Friday 11/11 we will leave the camp at 4 am to head to Samara Beach where we will meditate and do a yoga sunrise session, eat at Tamara's favorite restaurant on the beach, and spend some time enjoying the sun, sand, and waves (included in ticket price). (There is an ATM available if you want to get money out to purchase souvenirs.)

We will leave the beach at 11 to return to the Land around noon for lunch , naps if needed and clean up. There will be a shower and bathroom available.

Once we clean up and settle in, we will do a drop in meditation to prepare for the full moon ceremony where Erica Morgan of Wild Open Heart will be serving Sacred Cacao and Singing songs. Everyone is welcome to participate in song and dance and be free as we soak up the fire and dance and pray and connect under the full moon. You are free to check out at any time and head back to your tent.

There is almost ZERO light pollution so we will be getting a lot of star action and most likely meteor showers.

Saturday 11/12 Events

We will wake up a bit later and have a 9 am yoga stretch and meditation. Then you are free to wander the river and hills as you wish and collect things that you are drawn to have for your Earth Art and Altar Ceremony on Sunday. If Interested Tamara will take you to the local river pools about 1/2 km away where you can swim and chill in the river with mini waterfalls and waist high pools and we can walk to the larger one not that far up. Food will still be served and ready, but feel free to eat when you want. We will come together at sunset by the fire and connect and talk about whatever comes up.

Sunday 11/13 Events

We will pack tamales and coffee and leftover cacao (if any) and hike through the jungle to La Cruz--a private waterfall deep in the jungle where we will rest and do a deep grounding earth meditation that will connect us to the very earth we walked on to het there. This is approx. a 45 minutes hike and not very rugged—but some ups and downs.

We will return mid day around 1 pm and eat, clean up and get ready to share, create and build our Earth Art Alters and prepare for our final night of circling and connections.

Monday and Tuesday Clean up and trips to the Airport

We will have shuttles set up to get everyone to the airport on time. SJO airport is 4 hours away.

Suggestions and Other Instructions and Other Information

Bring any thing you feel you need.

Some suggestions are:

• Light blanket for sleeping
• Bug Spray and sunscreen
• Journal and pen
• Camera (make sure you bring a water proof bag or we can get you a zip lock)
• Water Shoes (I love my Meral Vibrams)
• Fast drying clothes
• Fun colorful dresses for circles
• Comfy sweater for evenings if it gets a bit chilly(sometimes it gets just right and a little snuggle hoodie is great)
• Sacred items (rattles, drums, crystals, etc) that you would like to be energized by the Moon.
• Portable water bottle.(the water is safe to drink)
• Favorite Mug for Cacao Ceremony
• Any art supplies you feel you want.
• Pack light but pack sacred.

10% of all the money from your adventure will be going to the local school. The ticket fee is to pay for all the transportation, food and the chef.

Leave the ego at home. This is a safe space to be free, cry, laugh, be wild, open and adventurous.

PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY:

There are two payment options:

Full payment:

• You have 2 weeks for a full refund.
• Anything after the two weeks, there will  only be a half refund of $400
• Anything after 4 weeks, no refund. 50% of your money will be given to the school in your name and 50% will be dispersed evenly between the event curators and helpers (firekeeper, guide, cook)

Two Part Payment:

• You have 2 weeks for a full refund.

• Second payment is expected to be paid two 3 weeks prior to the retreat. Unless other plans have been discussed with Tamara or Erica, you will not be able to attend and your $400 will be dispersed as mentioned above.

I share this information in full transparency. You are responsible for your belongings. When we leave camp, I will have a paid security guard to watch out for stuff. All passports, papers and important stuff will be locked up in Tamara’s house so you do not have to worry about it. 

When we travel to the beach, we can stop and get what you need. It is in route. I would like for everyone to leave their phones with those items at my house as this is a time for you to disconnect and reconnect with yourself and nature. Trust your gut and if you really need to connect to talk to your kid or spouse, I do have internet for emergencies and checking in.
